STUDIES SYNTHESIS OF NANOCRYSTALLINE CeO2 BY COMBUSTION METHOD USING OXALYL DIHYDRAZED (ODH) AS A FUEL

Abstract

    Nanosized CeO2 was prepared by the combustion method using ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate and ODH as a fuel at 500oC. The CeO2 nanoparticles was studied bythermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry (TGA-DSC), X-raydiffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Brunaure-Emmet-Teller(BET) method. The results shows that: CeO2 has particle size 9,4 nm and surfacearea is 47,4 m2/g.
