SYNTHESIS, STUDY ON CHARACTERIZATION OF 2- PHENOXYBENZOATES OF Tb(III), Yb(III) AND THEIR MIXED COMPLEXES WITH O-PHENANTROLINE

Abstract

  The 2-phenoxybenzoats of Tb(III) and Yb(III) and their mixed complexes with ophenantrolinhave been synthesized, the characteristics of these complexes havebeen performed by IR, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and mass-spectroscopymethods. The coordination modes of the ligands to Ln(III) centres (Ln(III): Tb(III),Yb(III)) have been investigated by IR spectra. Mass-spectroscopy showed that thecomplexes are monomes. TG- curves indicate that the complexes are stable up to atemperature of about 262-6100C. The thermal separation of the complexes weresupposed as follows:
