PREPARATION CaO-CuO-CeO2 MIXED OXIDE BY THE IMPREGNATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF ITS

Abstract
CaO-CuO-CeO2 mixed oxide was prepared by impregnation method. Thecharacteristics of CaO-CuO-CeO2 mixed oxide were examined by means of X-raydiffraction (XRD), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), H2- temperatureprogrammedreduction (H2-TPR) and Raman spectroscopy. The results indicated thatthere are three CuO species in the mixed oxide: the Cu2+ is mostly exist in the Ce1-xyCuxCayO2- solid solution and the left in the bulk CuO and finely dispersed CuOspecies on the surface of CeO2. The CaO and CuO doping promoted the formation ofoxygen vacancies of the CaO-CuO-CeO2 mixed oxide.
