STUDY ON THE ACCUMULATION OF Cu IN THE PRESENCE OF Pb AND Zn INTO BIOMASS OF POTATOES (Solanum tuberosum)

Abstract

    Polluted soil often contain more than one heavy metal. The behavior of a heavy metalfrom soil to plant will be affected by the presence of other metals. In this study, we haveinvestigated the accumulation of Cu, Pb, Zn into biomass of potato planted on the soilcontaminated by these metals. The result of this research showed that the presence of Zn2+ inhibited the accumulation of Cu from soil into potato while the presence of Pb2+ stimulatedthe accumulation of Cu from soil into biomass of this plant.
