SYNTHESIS AND SPECTROMETRIC ANALYSIS TO IDENTIFY THE STRUCTURE OF SOME NEW DIHYDROFURAN DERIVATIVES HAVING FLUORINE AND THIOPHEN-RING MOIETIES

Abstract

    Spectrometric identification of some new dihydrofuran derivatives containing fluorine andthiophene-ring moieties has been performed. These compounds were afforded by the reactionsof corresponding 1,1-diarylethenes or 1,1,6,6-tetraphenylhexa-1,5-diene withthenoyltrifluoroacetone in the presence of manganese triacetate dihydrate. This work showedthat a relative complex compound such as 1,2-bis[4'-trifluoroacetyl-2',2'-diphenyl-5'-(2-thienyl)-2',3'-dihydrofuryl]ethane could be obtained by a simple route.
