Abstract
The complexes of heavy rare earth ions with 2-phenoxybenzoic acid have been synthesized. The characteristics of the rare earth complexes Ln(Pheb)3 (Ln3+: Tb3+, Dy3+, Ho3+, Yb3+; Pheb-: 2-phenoxybenzoate) have been performed by elemetal analysis, IR, thermal analysis and mass-spectroscopy methods. IR spectra of the complexes showed that carboxyl of 2-phenoxybenzoic acid coordinated to earth ions. Mass-spectroscopy showed that the 2-phenoxybenzoates are monomes Ln(Pheb)3. TG- curves indicate that the complexes are stable up to a temperature of about 403-4880C. The thermal separation of the 2-phenoxybenzoates was supposed as follows:
