CHARACTERISTICS AND BIODEGRADABLE OF COMPOSISITES BASED ON POLYETHYLENE AND POLYAMIDE-6

Abstract

   This paper describes properties of compositions contained polyethylene high density (LDPE) and polyamide 6 (PA-6), compatibilizer maleic anhydride (MA) in the presence of benzoyl peroxide (BP) and stabilizer. Compositions, which received at temperature processing 200 oC, based on LDPE, 10-12 % wt. PA-6, compatibilizer 0.0014 % wt. MA and 0.005 % wt BP and a mixture of thermal stability 0,1 % wt Irgafos-168/ 0,1 % wt Agidol-40, possess mechanical properties and MFI value equally to the original PE. Evaluation of surface morphology of the samples showed that MA and BP increased compatibility between PE and PA-6. Received compositions were studied ability to biodegradation using of liquid and solid culture media. Compositions, containing 12 % wt of PA-6, have the ability to biodegradation.
