SOME COMPOUNDS ISOLATED FROM THE SEAGRASS HALODULE UNINERVIS

Abstract

From the methanol extract of the seagrass Halodule uninervis, five pure compounds were isolated for the
first time from this species using a combination of various chromatographic techniques. The chemical
structures of these compounds were elucidated based on the analysis of mass spectrometry data (ESI-MS)
and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, DEPT, HMBC, HSQC, and COSY), in
conjunction with comparisons to previously published literature. The identified compounds include 3,3’,4’
