2017 VIET NAM CLIMATE ASSESSMENT

Abstract

This paper presents results of the 2017 climate assessment including extreme events across Viet Nam. The meteorological data used in this study is provided by Viet Nam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration as well as obtained fromWorld Meteorological Organization (WMO, 2018). The results show that, the year 2017 was the fouth warmest on the historical record, with the anomaly of 0.54^oC. Comparing with the neutral ENSO years, the year 2017 was the warmest on the historical record. In term of rainfall amount, the total rainfall of the year 2017 was the largest amount during recent 10 years.
