Abstract

Under the impact of climate change, dangerous hydro-meteorological phenomena such as storms, tropical depressions, heavy rain, flood,… tend to be extreme and fierce. The impact of the upstream irrigation-hydropower reservoirs on the flooding problem in the downstream of Ca river basin is increasingly clear. As a result, a finding of the causes of flooding in this paper to provide appropriate solutions to reduce damage is urgent nowadays. This article presents the apply of MIKE model( including MIKE NAM, MIKE 11 and MIKE 21) to access to the impact of reservoir system in the downstream of the Ca basin river. The study used results that published in the Hydro-meteorological Journal [1]; creating flood discharge scenarios of the reservoir system: Ban Ve, Ban Ang, Ban Mong, Ho Ho and Ngan Truoi; assessing the factor that caused inundation from reservoir system on downstream of Ca river basin.
