SOLUTIONS TO COMPLETE THE MECHANISM AND POLICY TO MOBILIZE FINANCIAL RESOURCES FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR IN RESPONDING TO CLIMATE CHANGE

Abstract

Vietnamese private enterprises play an important role in the socio-economic development and are also an important subject of efforts to cope with, adapt to natural disasters and climate change risks. Private enterprises' awareness of the impacts of climate change helps businesses make plans and - propose, measures to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Based on the data compiled from the survey of 300 private enterprises, the study analyzed the current perceptions of enterprises on climate change and the factors affecting investment in response to climate change of Vietnamese private enterprises, including four main factors: Business restructuring, rearranging production of enterprises; Desires to join a global supply chain; State policies and mechanisms.
