Abstract: In recent time, the development of tourism in A Luoi district has considerably affected the residents’ life in terms of economy, society and environment. There are some positive impacts such as the contribution to the economy, people's income, spiritual life and cultural level have been improved;  more job opportunities; The relationship between family and community becomes closer and more cohesive; environmental protection, forest resource protection are concerned. However, there are also a number of negative effects including people's income increasing but not large; social evils becoming more common than before; the amount of solid waste in tourist season has sharply increased, resulting in bad impacts on the environment; The natural landscape has been renovated, water and air quality is adversely affected during the peak days.
