The reality of English teaching activities at secondary schools of Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province
Abstract
Abstract: A survey of the reality of teaching English at secondary schools was conducted on 22 managers (School Management Board, Head of English Department), 42 English teachers and 298 students of 10/11 secondary schools in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. Research results show that most managers, teachers and students were aware of the importance of teaching English at secondary schools; the implementation of the content, curriculum, plans, teaching methods of English subject were performed quite well. However, there were still many limitations in organizing teaching activities and teaching efficiency was not high. Based on the above research, the article proposes some suggestions to improve the effectiveness of managing English teaching activities at secondary schools.
