Management of life skills education activities for students of high schools in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh city

Abstract

Abstract: The issue of life skills education is getting more and more interested in Vietnam, so the improvement of life skills education in schools in general and for high school students in Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh city in particular is very necessary. This study refers to the status of awareness of managers, teachers, and high school students for life skills education and the contents, organizational forms, ways to coordinate with parents, unions and related social organizations, as well as status of management of life skills education in schools. On that basis, we propose measures to improve management of life skills education for students in high schools such as: Raising awareness and building capacity for the staff to perform life skills education; Develop plans and direct teachers to thoroughly integrate pedagogical skills education into subjects; Organize management of life skills education activities for each semester and the school year suitable to the students and the actual conditions of the school; Organizing synchronous coordination between schools - families - society; Strengthen the conditions of facilities in the school to improve the effectiveness of teaching life skills for students; Strengthen the inspection, evaluation and emulation, rewarding in the operation of life skills education.
