The causes leading to the rapid development of protestantism in ethnic minority communities in Gia Lai province from 1986 to 2016

Abstract

Abstract: Officially present in Gia Lai in 1938, Protestantism has developed strongly, becoming one of the major religions in this locality. It can be seen, the development of Protestantism in the community of ethnic minorities in Gia Lai is the result of a combination of reasons. There are reasons that of economic difficulties, low level of education, poor cultural life,... However, there are also causes stem from the conspiracy to abuse religion in the "peaceful evolution" of hostile forces, from the material and spiritual direction and help of religious organizations, of the Vietnamese Protestant Church. This article will analyze the causes leading to the rapid development of Protestantism in ethnic minority communities in Gia Lai province in recent years.
