Abstract

Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays a essential role to all countries worldwide. It is an external source of capital, technology, managerial expertise, business capabilities, and participation in global supply chains, promoting economic growth and international economic integration. During the period of economic opening, mobilizing and utilizing FDI has positive impacts on economic growth, technology transfer, management experience transfer, increased budget revenue, job creation, and provides conditions for production development and deep investment to enhance product quality. FDI is one of the important sources to compensate for the capital and foreign exchange shortages of recipient countries, especially less developed countries.
