Abstract

As one of the countries these are most vulnerable to climate change and a country with a large open and fast-growing economy; expanding investment in green infrastructure is important for Vietnam to meet its international climate commitments and build resilience to the impacts of climate change, thereby contributing to promote economic development. In Vietnam, the trend of increasing green credit has appeared and developed through projects such as: energy saving, renewable energy and clean technology towards the goal of sustainable development. Applying green credit policies still faces many difficulties and challenges. On the basis of assessing the current status of green credit in Vietnam, the authors propose some policy implications to promote the development of green credit in the commercial banking system.
