Abstract

Central bank-issued digital currency (CBDC) aimed at digitizing cash; provide a viable way to control the digital economy; improve the efficiency of monetary policy management to promote economic growth. In the current context, many countries have been conducting research and development of CBDCs. Grasping this trend, Vietnam also needs research to come up with prudent and appropriate scenarios and solutions, and at the same time, it is necessary to build a legal framework to put into management, as well as actively participate in activities of central banks in setting standards of CBDCs.
