Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is transforming the global economic structure, disrupting production chains, circulating goods, developing technology and "refining" investment flows. In that context, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Vietnam also needs adjustments to suit the new situation. Vietnam has signed and is currently implementing a number of commitments within new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs), which are the driving force for Vietnam's economy to recover, make breakthroughs, and become an ideal destination. However, how to take advantage of new generation FTAs and effectively attract FDI from new generation FTAs is a raised issue.
