Experience of the inpatients at Thanh Nhan hospital in 2021 and some related factors

Abstract

Objective: This study is to describe status of the experience of inpatients at Thanh Nhan hospital in 2021 and to analyze some related factors.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 253 inpatients, using the CAHPS questionnaire. Study time period was from 05/2021 to 12/2021 at Thanh Nhan hospital.

Results: The percentage of patients with a overall positive experience was 71.6%, with a mean score of 3.67. In the aspects of hospital experience, the percentage of patients with a positive experience on discharge from the hospital was highest (95.5%). Aspect having lowest positive experience rate of inpatients is the hospital environment with only 27.1%. Factors related to internal accidents, including economic factors, the use of health insurance cards, treatment time, hospital discharge status.

Conclusion: The study gave results The percentage of patients with a positive overall experience was 71.6%. Since then, the research has proposed a number of solutions to improve the quality of the hospital in general and the patient’s experience in particular
