Vietnam's economy in 2013: Macroeconomic stability and growth recovery

Abstract

    The paper reviews updates on major macroeconomic variables, analyzes expected c;hanges of these variables. summarize the key points of monetary and fiscal policies in the year 2013, and then identify several opportunities and challenges in the coming years. The paper covers three main parts: (i) overview of the economy in 2013 through exploring changes of several economic variables, (ii) anaiysis of key points of monetary and fiscal policies, and (iii) identification of opportunities and challenges in 2014 and coming years.
