Vietnam's socio-economic development during 2011-2013: Basic issues and recommendations

Abstract

     Socio - economic development plan in the period from 2011 to 2015 underwent over half way with success and limitations during the fluctuations of international and national context, in which opportunities and advantages interleave with difficulties and challenges. Therefore, general assessments and analysis on the situation of Vietnam economy in association with the 5 year socio-economic development plan playa crucial role. This research has been conducted with a view to providing the most fundamental features on the situation of national socio-economic development over the last 3 years, which focus on analyzing and evaluating the following issues: (i) the process of conducting the socio-economic development plan 2011 2015; (ii) several fundamental macroeconomic indicatiors and resources for economic growth from 2011 to 2013; (iii) basic causes of the limitations; (iv) resolutionsfor the next period from 2014 to 2015.
