Bank Credit to Coffee Recultivation in Highlands Region

Abstract

Coffee is one of the main export items of Vietnam, Highlands region in particular. With the property of basaltic soils at an altitude of 500m - 600m above the sea, Highlands region is suitable for industrial crops such as coffee, cocoa, pepper, mulberry, in which coffee is the most important industrial plants. However, since the coffee area is increasingly aging, recultivation to maintain quantity and quality is a big problem. Being aware of and in order to solve this problem, the banking industry has issued many policies to provide credit funds to Highlands region, simultaneously combined with other macroeconomic policies to increase efficiency of credit capital. The article focuses on analyzing the current status, challenges and policy recommendations for replanting coffee in Highlands region
