Increase the rate of using the certificate of origin form E in Vietnam - China trade relationship

Abstract

The ASEAN- China Free Trade Area currently uses the Certificate of Origin form E (C/O form E) as the basis for determining tariff preferences. Therefore, this type of Certificate of Origin draws the attention of all Vietnamese enterprises that have commercial relationships with the Chinese market. However, in reality, many Vietnamese enterprises do not know how to be approved of the C/O form E and have not taken advantage of the incentives of this type of C/O. By using statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Department of Customs, the authors use the method of synthesis and analysis to find out the advantages and disadvantages of Vietnamese enterprises when using the C/O form E. On that basis, we propose solutions to increase the using rate of this Certificate of Origin in Vietnam-China trade relations.
