Abstract

The socioeconomic development and the enhancement of industrialization and specialization together have facilitated the manufacture of more and more products with various designs and quality to meet diverse demands of consumers. This spurs exports and imports to grow, but at the same time, might create more dangers to the consumers and community at the importing country if the quality of imported goods is low. In order to control the quality of imported and exported goods, especially to increase the confidence of the importing country’s consumers in the goods, either importers or the importing country could require the exporter to submit a certificate of free sale. This document proves that the goods are produced and allowed to be sold freely in the exporting country’s market. This certificate is considered a bridge to bring the exporting country’s goods easily to the world market. This article will explore fundamental issues of the CFS and notes for use in international trade.
