Some comments in developing national standards on fixed source gases emission

Abstract

Based upon a proposed policy of compilating one common Vietnamese Standard (QCVN) on gas and waste water emission for all emission sources, this articles provides some comments on QCVN and other foreign regulations currently in use as well as some recommendations for gas emission standard, excess oxygen reference, chimney height, project investor's responsibility (via Environmental Impact Assessment) on the increase in the concentration of hazardous substances to the ambient based on the selection of the chimney height, size of the emission source and elimination of K_p and K_v coefficients.
