Argriculture and rural of Vietnam and ASEAN experiences in the middle-income background

Abstract

    Vietnam became middle-income country (1000 USD of average GDP for a person in a year) in 2010. It's a glad but behind the pleasant news, it's a long distance for Vietnam to become a high income country. It is not easy. A lot of country be middle-income but after many years, nations not to be higher income. Vietnamese economy link closely to argriculture and rural. The argriculture and rural region effect strongly on going out of the middle income-trap. Real situation of Vietnamese argriculture and rural and experience of ASEAN are the good lessons for Vietnam not fall into the middle income-trap.
