Non-Observed Economy: Definitions and Estimation Methods

Abstract
The article summarizes definitions of the non-observed economy, distinguishes between the concept of “non-observed economy” and “informal economy”. Also, the paper makes to identify Vietnam’s non-observed economic concept, introduces components of Vietnam's NOE sector, and some approaches to measure the size of NOE; therefore, the paper draws an overview of the framework for Vietnam’s non-observed economic sector.
