THE REAL SITUATION OF IMPORT AND EXPORT OF GOODS IN THANH HOA PROVINCE IN THE PERIOD OF 2015 - 2020

Abstract

The article assesses the current situation of import and export of goods in Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2015-2020 with the following outstanding achievements: growth value, growth rate and total import and export turnover of goods increased steadily; import and export products are increasingly diversified with improved quality of commodity products in line with international trends; administrative and customs measures have been simplified
and unified with WTO regulations, etc. However, the province's import and export activities also revealed some limitations such as that exported commodities have not had a high value-added content; fishery products - the strength of the province - tend to decrease in the structure of export value; imported goods depend heavily on the Chinese market with low stability; free trade and market expansion are still limited, etc. The article also proposes some solutions to
step up import and export activities in Thanh Hoa province for the next period.
