FACTORS AFFECTING ASSISTANCE FOR THE ELDERLY BY GENDER

Abstract

Social assistance is a pillar of income security for the elderly, demonstrating the ethics and traditions of “drink water, remember its source” and “mutual love and love” of Vietnamese people towards people with meritorious services to the country, for those in difficult circumstances, especially for the elderly. Social assistance is a pillar of income security for the elderly. Using the propit model and the Vietnam Elderly Survey (VNAS 2011), the author analyzes the factors affecting the social welfare for the elderly by gender.
