EFFECT OF LIVE LACTO YEAST SUPPLEMENTATION IN DIET ON THE GROWTH OF IMPROVED RI CHICKENS

Abstract

The study was conducted on 180 improved Ri chickens (90 males and 90 females) from 1 day of age to 12 weeks of age, following intensive rearing methods, repeated 3 times, at Research Application Science and Technology Livestock Center of Thanh Hoa province in order to evaluate the effect of live lacto yeast supplementation in diet on survival rate, growth performance and FCR of improved Ri chickens. The resutls showed that supplementation live lacto yeast at a dose of 2 g/l drinking water for improved Ri chicken raised to 12 weeks of age has increased the survival rate (93.33% compared to 91.11%), body weight of experimental treatment were higher than control treatment (1927.14 g/head compared to 1838.29 g/head) and feed conversion ratio of experimental treatment was lower than control treatment (2.67 kg compared to 3.02 kg).
