A RESEARCH ON CHARACTERISTIC OF THE GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTIVITY, QUALITY AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF SOME CUCUMBER VARIETIES GROWN IN VETGAP APPROACH IN MUONG LAT DISTRICT, THANH HOA PROVINCE

Abstract

In planting according to VietGAP technical process, there are significantly higher growth targets than the ones applied with the formula of cultivation according to farmers' technical methods. The formula with the highest growth and development of cucumbers was P2G2 (the last number of leaves reached 36.87; the final height of trees reached 225.29 cm).

The growing formulas according to VietGAP technical process have significantly higher productivity indicators compared to the formulas applied by farmers' farming techniques. Actual yield of experimental treatments used by farmers' farming techniques, reached only 14.49 - 20.52 tons /ha while the  yield of planting under VietGAP technical process reached 17.56 - 23.62 tons /ha.

In all growing formulas according to VietGAP technical process, the marginal profit margin index is larger than 2 and varies from 6.36 to 7.56.

All experimental formulas under VietGAP-oriented techniques have a dry matter content; The total sugar content and the content of vitamin C in the product are higher than the experimental treatments according to the farmers' technical process being applied.
