Abstract
In this study, we focus on manufacturing biocomposite films based on
chitosan (CS) and bacterial cellulose (BC) to preserve fresh fruit. Through the
research process, we have successfully manufactured BC/CS composite
membranes with a special structure, determined through structural
morphology and infrared (IR) spectral characteristics. When using this film to
package oranges using the dipping method, we observed positive results in
terms of evaluation parameters after 29 days of storage. The BC/CS/0.5%
CH3COOH membrane has achieved the best performance in preserving fresh
oranges, retaining most of the natural and nutritional properties of the orange
throughout this period.
