SOME BASIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF RELIGIOUS REFORM IN VIETNAM

Along with the achievements of the country's renewal, the religious renewal process in Vietnam has achieved impressive results. Religious renewal in Vietnam has completely changed the face of religion in Vietnam with a qualitative difference. In this paper the author focuses on the analysis and evaluation of the achievements of religious renewal in the following aspects: the changes in Party’s understanding of religions, the changes in the policies and laws on religion and the changes related to the right to freedom of belief and religion. From his analysis, the author concludes that the achievements in religious renewal as well as the reality of religious life in Vietnam have shown that the policies and laws of the Party and State are correct, contributing to building national unity and religious ties, contributing to social stability and development for the sake of wealthy people, a strong, democratic, just and civilized country.
