Abstract

Ventilated air flow in an enclosure IS oíten unsteady (turbulent) at even very low Reynolds number (Re). Meantime natural convection ứi a box is staticnary moũon at large enough Rayleigh number (Rfl). This paper deab vvith the interaction between two those flows in a two-dimensional room. The room has One inlet and One or two outlets. A heat soiưce locates on the íloor. The numerical simulatìon of the interaction IS carried out at some values oí Re and Ra íor two cases of the inlet and outLet conhguiation. Some mteresting characteristics oí the resultant flow are discovered. The heat amount released by the soưrce and removed írom the room by dííterent types of this flow is also provlded.
