Abstract

The article presents the research results on the influence of heat treatment process on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mn15Cr2V steel used to make PC1250 bucket teeth. The research results show that: When the steel was heated with intermediate heating at 650oC, was kept in 02 hours, then cool in the air, then continue, the steel was heated at 1100oC, was kept in 02 hours and cool down quickly in water. The microstructure of this steel was held full austenite; There are not carbides which were located at the grain boundaries. By modern analysis, there are has shown that fine carbides such as (Fe,Cr)7C3 VC are dispersed in the austenite matrix. The value of impact toughness obtained of steel reaches 115J/cm2. The hardness value of the base phase after heat treatment is 223HB.
