Water quality (fresh and marine water) in Bach Long Vi District, Hai Phong City

Abstract

Green economic development is gradually becoming an inevitable trend of the modern world economy, helping economic growth, efficient use of resources, environmental protection, and social justice. Green economic development is also a promising path for Vietnam's seas and islands, such as Bach Long Vi island district, in the context of resource depletion and facing risks of climate change. According to the development orientation of Hai Phong city, tourism is one of the island district's three fundamental economic development orientations. The study used inheritance, investigation, survey, and SWOT analysis methods to build this local experiential tourism model. The model of experiential tourism towards green economic development in Bach Long Vi district is considered an appropriate solution to optimally exploit the advantages of the island district for sustainable development and contribute to ensuring national defense and security in the Gulf of Tonkin region.
