Abstract

Stabilizing digging holes in the construction of irrigation works has great economic and technical significance, especially in weak soil conditions. The underlying impact of the ground element will directly affect engineering measures. the need. Therefore, the study to evaluate the impact of construction methods on the transfer of building structures in soft ground conditions with the finite element method is applied to this study. The calculation and simulation results show that different construction methods have a significant influence on the displacement of the excavation retaining wall. The method of stabilizing the excavation pit is used with two scenarios including: Scenario 1 (KB1) using only steel sheet wall to protect the excavation pit; Scenario 2 (KB2) uses a steel sheet pile wall combined with a steel splash system to protect the work foundation from landslides for the excavation.

The results show that, with the scenario of using only steel sheet pile walls, there is instability in the excavation, while if combining the steel sheet wall with the anti-splash system, the excavation stability is ensured during the construction process. The research results provide a useful method in testing and evaluating the stability of excavations for irrigation works in particular and underground works in general, making an important contribution in proposing appropriate technical measures to bring efficiency to the project
