Abstract
In Vietnam as well as in the world, the demand for water use is increasing due to rapid socio- economic development. However, the distribution of water resources is uneven in both space and time, and increasingly unbalanced due to the impacts of global climate change. It requires options for transferring water from water excess areas to water scarcity areas, and hydraulic structure is always the preferred solution of many countries. This article focuses on analysis of water transfer, water resources linking routes in order to optimize the capacity of water storage, regulation and distribution to meet socio-economic development requirements of the North Central region for the present and future
