Abstract

Hau Giang province is an area with relatively special natural features and complicated flow regime. The system of rivers and canals is interlaced, influenced by hydrodynamics from the Hau River and the tides of the East sea and West sea. The level of accretion and erosion is very strong. This study used MIKE models with MIKE 11 & MIKE21/3 FM modules. In which, MIKE 11 calculates hydrodynamics, sediment transport, sedimentation risk, erosion, simulates, reproduces the hydrodynamic picture and MIKE21/3 FM clarifies the 2D hydrodynamic regime in some major rivers, canals at risk of erosion.
