Abstract

Hau Giang is a province with an interlaced system of rivers and canals in the inland area of ​​the Mekong Delta, located downstream of the Hau River. This study focus on main canal river erosion has great significance in disaster prevention. The main causes of river and canal erosion in Hau Giang province in recent years include objective causes due to natural impacts and subjective causes due to impacts of people and pay attention to the causes of global climate change. The research team has calculated and determined using mathematical modeling tools, empirical formulas combining the results of surveying basic documents on topography, geology, hydrology, sediment and to synthesize the causes and mechanisms erosion in the study area
