General Regulations on Lawyers and Law Practice in Vietnam: Inadequacies and Recommendations

Abstract

The article comments on the content of general provisions on lawyers in the current Law on Lawyers. The author exploits the content of these provisions and compares the actual situation to provide objective comments that address societal demands. By analyzing the provisions and comparing the results of their implementation, the article points out shortcomings in that implementation. Based on the above-mentioned bases, the author recommends solutions to supplement and perfect the Law on Lawyers in the coming time in order to continue to develop and promote the legal profession, meeting the requirements of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of clients.
