STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT OF LISTED FERTILIZER FIRMS IN VIETNAM AMID INTENSIFYING PRICE COMPETITION

Abstract

The fertilizer industry plays an essential role in agriculture, the core sector of the Vietnamese economy. However, the industry is facing many challenges such as dependence on imported raw materials, global price fluctuations, trade protection policies and fierce competition from cheap imported products. In this context, listed fertilizer companies are forced to improve their competitiveness, especially in terms of price, to maintain market share and profits. Analysis of financial data for the period 2020–2024 shows a clear differentiation in operating efficiency, thereby proposing solutions to optimize costs and strengthen financial management to improve competitiveness
