Lessons from the practical experiences of the Soviet Union and China for the development and refinement of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s renewal policy theory

Abstract

The article analyzes the lessons from the collapse of the Soviet Union (application of Marxist-Leninist dogma; deviation from the fundamental principles of Marxism-Leninism, distortion of history and ideology of previous leaders...) and from the success of China (steadfastness, holding high the Party's ideological banner; inheritance, creative development of ideology of previous leaders; liberation of ideology, independent thinking, adherence to reality...). The important significance of these lessons for building and perfecting the theory of our Party's innovation policy in the new era.
