ASSESSMENT OF AIR QUALITY STATUS IN BAC NINH PROVINCE

Abstract

Air pollution is considered a serious environmental problem, directly threatening the health of the community. There are many factors that contribute to air pollution and the level of influence varies from place to place. The aim of this study is to assess the status of air quality in Bac Ninh province in 2011 and 2021. At the same time, it points out the changes and main causes leading to changes in air quality of Bac Ninh province at the time above. The study is based on the results of processing and analyzing measurement data from monitoring stations in 2011 and 2021. The results of research showed that the air quality of Bac Ninh province in 2021 had improved significantly in comparison with 2011, but in many places, the pollution was still quite serious such as Bac Ninh city, Tu Son town, Thuan Thanh district. Emissions from industrial zones, craft villages, and traffic activities were considered as the main causes of air pollution in the study area.
