Abstract

An autonomous mobile robot is an agent capable of intelligent navigation and movement through sensors and actuation controllers. Autonomous mobile robots are increasingly being used in fields including business, science, transportation, defence security and other social sectors. This study focuses on investigating different control techniques. The article has clearly classified navigation techniques for mobile robots such as deterministic algorithms, non-deterministic algorithms, evolutionary algorithms, genetic algorithms, sustainable adaptive control, applicable to mobile robot navigation and obstacle avoidance in different environments. The research method used is to synthesize, analyze and evaluate information to draw useful conclusions and comments. The article serves as a guide for beginning researchers in the field of robot navigation, helping them have an overview of navigation for autonomous mobile robots. Comments and assessments drawn from the research are the basis for improving existing algorithms, develop further optimization algorithms for navigation and obstacle avoidance of autonomous mobile robots.
