NURSING STUDENTS‘ SATISFACTION ON CLINICAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AT NGUYEN TAT THANH UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to use the CLES+T scale to assess the satisfaction of the clinical learning environment of nursing students at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. The study used a descriptive cross-sectional method among 200 nursing students from March to June in 2023. The study results showed that the mean score of CLES+T was 3.78, in which the mean of Pedagogical atmosphere (Mean=3.77); Leadership style of the ward manage (Mean=3.65); Nursing care of the ward (Mean=3.95); Content of the supervisory relationship (Mean=3.74); Role of the nurse teacher (Mean=3.78). Overall, Nursing students had a high level of satisfaction on nursing care of the ward as well as satisfaction with the support and evaluation of the supervisor and nurse teacher. However, students face communication and psychological barriers during practice in the clinical department. The study also noted that the characteristics of the clinical practice department had an impact on student satisfaction, but it was not affected by factors such as gender, age, years of study and previous practice experience.
