Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the current situation of factors influencing and propose management measures for conducting two teaching sessions per day at primary schools in the challenging regions of Ha Giang. The main method used in the research is a survey conducted through questionnaires, observations, and statistical methods to analyze the survey results from a total of 284 administrators and teachers, including 74 administrators and 210 teachers from 21 primary schools in the challenging regions of Ha Giang province during the academic year 2019-2020. The survey results show that there are several factors influencing the management of two teaching sessions per day at primary schools in the challenging regions of Ha Giang, such as the capacity of the management team, teachers, infrastructure, the collaboration of students' families, and the Vietnamese language proficiency of primary school students. Based on these findings, the author proposes five management measures to effectively organize two teaching sessions per day at primary schools in the challenging regions. These measures aim to contribute to the successful implementation of the 2018 general education program. The 284 administrators and teachers evaluated these proposed measures as highly necessary and feasible.
