USING KAHOOT SOFTWARE IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION IN HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

Using software in teaching Literature for students is essential in today's general education. In the general education program in Vietnam, Literature is a compulsory subject that contributes to the development of students' abilities and qualities. This study aims to promote the self-discipline, independence and creativity of learners through the use of Kahoot software in teaching reading comprehension in high schools. On the basis of theoretical research, the article proposed to use Kahoot software to design the following activities: startup; learn new knowledge; lesson summary; self-study in teaching with the support of mobile devices connected to the Internet. Research results show that the use of Kahoot software in teaching activities will easily stimulate learners' interest, help them form and develop the necessary competencies to to apply knowledge to social life. The results of the study are useful references for Literature teacher in high schools in the teaching process.
