Abstract

This study serves the purpose of understanding some theoretical issues about educational activities towards nature experience for pre-school children; guided by research questions: (1) What are the benefits of experiencing nature for children? (2) When participating in natural experiences, what activities can children do? (3) What should the environment for children to natural experience be like? The author uses the theoretical research method to analyze and synthesize 26 documents. Research results show that, participating in nature activities, children develop physically such as motor skills, physical qualities, as well as brain development. In addition, natural elements are easily received by children such as when they are directly exposed to the cold and heat of the weather. Moreover, social-emotional capacities such as interest and care are also formed when children take part in activities with plants and animals. The study also systematizes the content that children participate in to experience nature such as (1) Observing and studying natural elements, (2) Craft activities with natural materials, (3) Playing in nature. Finally, the article mentions that the environment at preschool has many natural factors that attract children to participate in the experience.
